The lock of a cowl opens the handle located at the left under the dashboard (fig. 1.49) . After opening of a latch of the lock the cowl under the influence of a spring will rise. Having raised a forward part of a cowl, displace a clamp to the right (fig. 1.50) and open a cowl. Lift an emphasis of a cowl and insert it into a special longitudinal groove in a forward part of a cowl (fig. 1.51) .

On cars with a telescopic gas-filled emphasis lifting and cowl deduction in the top situation is carried out automatically.

For cowl closing, having raised it, take from a groove an emphasis, lay an emphasis in holders and from height about 30 cm release a cowl. It should be closed under the influence of a body weight. At the car with a telescopic emphasis — lower a cowl down, overcoming efforts of an emphasis, and slam it.
