The cars equipped with anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS), can be equipped and system of electronic blocking of differential (EDS).

The EDS system works constantly in an automatic mode. The control unit EDS system receives signals from sensors of frequency of rotation of wheels of ABS system. At speed of movement to 40 km/h the difference of values of frequency of rotation of wheels is eliminated automatically with a podtormazhivaniye of a sliping wheel. Thus the torque transferred through differential, on other wheel increases.

For optimum work of EDS system at dispersal correctly choose transfer. On the slippery road (snow or ice) a pedal of an accelerator press smoothly. Despite work of EDS system, a wheel can revolve and change the direction of movement of the car.

Fire of an alarm lamp of ABS system also testifies to malfunction of EDS system. For restoration of operability of system it is necessary to address on service station of cars.

At strong heating of brake shoes the EDS system is automatically disconnected — the car continues movement in a usual mode. The alarm lamp of ABS thus does not light up. After cooling of brake shoes the EDS system automatically joins.
