Tension mechanisms with the inertial coil are intended for simplification of movement of a belt at its current use. The belt moves freely at slow moving, but at sharp movement the belt is fixed. If to pull a belt, it should be fixed. Otherwise the mechanism of a tension is faulty and assembled it is necessary to replace a belt.

NOTE Such way of check is inapplicable to automatic humeral belts.

Belts of both types can be checked when driving on the car on the free road from cars. Press sharply a brake pedal, moving for speed of 19 km/h. The belt should hold the driver strongly. Otherwise the mechanism of a tension of a belt is faulty and assembled it is necessary to replace a belt.
