At removal it is required to drill bolts of fastening of a steering column (cut-off bolts) and to lower a column. Work accurately to avoid damage of numerous vpressovanny pins and other details of fastening.

Preparatory activities for dashboard removal:

– remove average section of the dashboard;

– remove an overlay of a powder of a door in a doorway;

– remove the lever of a cowl and disconnect a cowl cable;

– remove the bottom decorative overlay of a forward rack and a doorway (fig. 16.70) , having unscrewed screws of its fastening and having removed spring brackets;

– remove trays for storage of trifles (fig. 16.71) or a nadkolenny partition 6 and 9 (fig. 16.72) . For removal of a nadkolenny partition remove the left slip, release from latches and remove face decorative covers, having turned them at an angle 90 °. Then remove the bottom overlay of the forward panel of a niche of a wheel and a doorway;

– prepare new cut-off bolts for installation of the case of a steering column.

Removal make in the following order:

– unscrew screws and push inside the panel 3 (fig. 16.73) of management of a heater and body ventilation;

– drill srezny bolts of fastening of a steering column and lower a column;

– disconnect plaits of conducting and connection with "weight" under the dashboard. Disconnect sockets of plaits of the dashboard from the assembly block 3 (fig. 16.74) of the relay and safety locks;

– unscrew screws on both parties of the dashboard, previously having got caps 3 (fig. 16.75) . Get clamps 1 and 2 from a wall of an air line which is behind the dashboard;

– disconnect and take aside the basic arms 4 connecting the dashboard and a tunnel of a body floor and remove the dashboard (fig. 16.76) .

Installation carry out upside-down. On the cars equipped with a cable of a drive of a speedometer, it is necessary to insert a cable from the back party of a speedometer. For this purpose temporarily disconnect a cable of a drive of a speedometer in the mixing air chamber which is under a cowl.

At installation of the dashboard be convinced of the correct installation of air lines on the heater case.
