Removal of an epiploon of a forward cover of a cranked shaft carry out in the following order:

– on the AFN engine remove the top casing of the engine;

– disconnect the tip from the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine;

– merge engine oil from the engine;

– remove the plastic air lines located in a zone of the right forward wheel;

– remove auxiliary driving belts;

– remove pulleys of auxiliary driving belts, a GRM belt and a GRM belt pulley from a cranked shaft;

– remove the oil pallet;

– gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of a forward cover 11 (see fig. 3.69 .) cranked shaft;

– turning round a cranked shaft a forward cover 11, remove it together with an epiploon from the block of cylinders of the engine;

– take a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft by means of a screw-driver.

Installation of an epiploon of a forward cover of a cranked shaft carry out in the following order:

– clear interfaced surfaces of a forward cover of a cranked shaft and the block of cylinders of the engine of traces of remote laying;

PREVENTION Check a forward cover on existence of cracks or deformations. At detection of damages it is necessary to replace a such cover

– grease a surface of a new sealing ring with engine oil;

– using a bar (see section 3.3.13), establish a ring in a forward cover of a cranked shaft;

– put on an interfaced surface of the block of cylinders a thin layer of hermetic and establish on the block of cylinders laying of a forward cover of a cranked shaft;

– for protection against mechanical damages of a surface of a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft roll up an insulating tape the forward end of a cranked shaft;

– grease a sealing ring with pure engine oil;

– pressing in the axial direction and shaking a cover here and there establish a forward cover on cranked in bulk;

– insert bolts of fastening of a forward cover of a cranked shaft and evenly shade them the established moment of an inhaling;

– establish the oil pallet;

– installation of the removed elements make in sequence, return to removal.
