Adjustment of the parking brake carry out only after replacement of a cable of the parking brake, a support, brake shoes or brake disks, for what:

— fix forward wheels, will hang out a back part of the car and fix it on basic racks;

— remove the top decorative furnish of the lever;

— remove a back part of the central console.

For adjustment of the parking brake of back brakes of drum-type type make the following:

— completely release the lever of the parking brake;

— squeeze out a brake pedal against the stop then tighten the lever of the hand brake on four clicks on a ratchet;

— release a lock-nut and tighten an adjusting nut of a cable on one party so that the back wheel on this party was hardly turned manually;

— release the handle of the parking brake and check that the wheel on this party rotates freely;

— tighten a lock-nut of a regulator of a cable;

— similarly perform operation of adjustment on the second wheel;

— establish into place a back part of the central console and the top decorative overlay of the lever.

For adjustment of the parking brake of back brakes of disk type make the following:

— completely release the lever of the parking brake;

— weaken a lock-nut and unscrew adjusting nuts so that both levers on a support moved to an emphasis. Thus carving parts of cables hold a screw-driver;

— tighten adjusting nuts so that levers on a support departed from an emphasis no more than on 1,5 mm (fig. 12.31) . Thus carving parts of cables hold a screw-driver;

— tighten lay a brake and check that back wheels are not turned, then release the lever of the parking brake and be convinced that back wheels rotate freely;

— establish into place a back part of the central console and the top decorative overlay of the lever.
