Removal

Removal make in the following order:

– disconnect a "minus" wire from the plug of the storage battery;

PREVENTION Information in memory of electronic memories will be thus lost.

– weaken a bolt of fastening of the generator to an arm and a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt (fig. 15.6) , then turn the generator to the engine;

– on the cars equipped with the conditioner and a steering drive with the amplifier, first of all remove their driving belts;

– remove a driving belt from pulleys.

Installation and tension adjustment

Establish a new driving belt on pulleys, thus a belt should settle down on the center of pulleys.

The tension of a driving belt can be made in two ways.

In the first case weaken an adjusting bolt and rotate a nut of the mechanism of a tension so that the generator moved from the engine while the deflection of a driving belt on the middle of a long branch of a belt will not make 2,0 mm when pressing by a thumb – for a new belt and 5,0 mm – for a belt being in the use (fig. 15.7, 15.8, 15.9, 15.10, 15.11) . Fix a nut of the mechanism of a tension in this situation then tighten an adjusting bolt (fig. 15.12) .

At a belt tension by the second way the dinamometrichesky key is required. Check, that the bolt of fastening of the generator to an arm was weakened, and the generator freely moved. Tighten a nut of the mechanism of a tension the moment of 8 N · m for a new belt (or 4 N · m for a belt which was in the use), then note position of the generator on an adjusting level. Tighten a bolt of fastening of the generator to an arm and check, that the nut of the mechanism of a tension remained in the same situation.

In case of need, carry out repeated adjustment.

Tighten an adjusting bolt.
