Cars without the hydraulic booster

Removal make in the following order:

– will hang out and fix on basic racks a forward part of the car;

– for improvement of access to steering transfer 12 (fig. 11.13) unscrew bolts of fastening and remove a damper 11 from a forward beam;

– remove forward wheels;

– unscrew a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering bent for to a rotary fist and, using a stripper of spherical hinges, take the hinge of steering draft from a rotary fist (see fig. 11.11 );

– unscrew the top and bottom bolts 4, the 6th connections of shaft of the universal hinge of a steering column. In a motor compartment access is limited by elements of brake and fuel system, and from below an exhaust system and steering transfer. Access to a bolt of the universal hinge the helmsman of a column is most convenient from car salon;

– remove the bottom furnish of the dashboard and the panel shelf from the driver, then omit down facing from a partition of a motor compartment at the basis of a steering column;

– remove a protective cover from a partition from a motor compartment;

– using the winch, support the engine and a transmission;

– unscrew bolts of fastening of a forward cross-section beam;

– weaken, without having unscrewed up to the end, a bolt of fastening of the back plug of the cross-section lever of a suspension bracket;

– without turning on bolts of fastening of the stabilizer of cross-section stability, lower a forward cross-section beam for office of shaft of a steering column. Do not lower a cross-section beam more than it is necessary for office of shaft.

Cars with the hydraulic booster

Removal make in the following order:

– on cars with the hydraulic booster of a steering disconnect pressure head 14 (fig. 11.14) and a returnable 13th hose from steering transfer. Before a detachment of tubes clear places of connections;

– merge the remained liquid in the container;

– move tubes from steering transfer and muffle the ends of tubes jams;

– unscrew four bolts of fastening of steering transfer, having left fastening bolts in a forward cross-section beam;

– having convinced that steering transfer is completely disconnected, move it back and take from under the car;

– check a condition of steering transfer and if necessary replace it.
