Be convinced that the steering shaft is normally exposed in relation to the case of a steering column, thus the small ledge on the helmsman to a shaft should be combined with an opening on the case of a steering column (fig. 11.8) . If necessary extend a steering shaft to the limiter.

For installation of a new steering wheel on the car of early release it is necessary to put on by means of a nut of fastening of a steering wheel a shlitsevy part of a steering column the transitional plug (the additional spare part). Thus it is necessary to screw a nut till the end of a carving.

Unscrew a nut, establish a washer in thickness of 3 mm (the additional spare part) and finally tighten the transitional plug a nut of a steering wheel (see fig. 11.2 ).

Put the ignition lock on a steering column.

Tighten bolts and nuts the demanded moment.

At replacement of a steering wheel be convinced that the gap between a surface of a nave of a steering wheel and the switch on a steering column makes 2–4 mm (fig. 11.9) .
