Shaft of a drive of forward wheels transfer a torque from a transmission to driving wheels. Shaft consist of three parts: internal and external hinges of equal angular speeds (CV JOINTS) and shaft.
The tip of the case of the external hinge is inserted by Shlitseva into a nave of a wheel and fixed by a nut. CV JOINTS are greased with the konsistentny greasing which replacement is carried out only when dismantling hinge.
In Passat cars two types of shaft are applied: for cars with engine capacity to 66 kW and for cars with engine capacity over 66 kW.
