Removal of a pedal of coupling carry out in the following order:

– disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery;

– uncover the block of safety locks, unscrew screws of fastening and remove the lower part of the dashboard;

– unscrew two screws of fastening of the panel to the lower part of a steering column and remove the panel;

– on coupling with a hydraulic drive, remove a spring bracket of fastening and take a pedal pin;

– on coupling with a hummock drive disconnect a coupling cable from the lever of switching off of coupling and a coupling pedal;

– remove a spring bracket of fastening of an axis of pedals of a brake and coupling and, having moved to the right, take an axis of pedals;

– disconnect a servomechanism spring from a pedal of coupling and take a pedal;

– check a condition of the plug of a pedal of coupling and if necessary replace it;

– remove a spring bracket of fastening, a washer and a spring of a servomechanism 11 (fig. 7.2) .

Installation of a pedal of coupling carry out in the following order:

– installation of a pedal 5 (fig. 7.3) of coupling carry out to sequences, return to removal. Before installation grease a pedal and plugs with a thin layer of greasing. Installation of a spring of a servomechanism will need the VW3113 tool or (fig. 7.4) similar to it . On cars with a mechanical (hummock) drive of coupling carry out adjustment of a cable of coupling.

ATTENTION Since August, 1992, on cars the unified arm of a pedal of coupling (fig. 7.5) being identical to mechanical (hummock) and hydraulic drives of coupling that entailed changes of a design of a pedal of coupling, сервопружины and a stopper of an axis of a pedal is established. Elements of the unified arm of a pedal of coupling and earlier arms are not interchangeable. As spare parts it is possible to get only arms with a directing tube for a cable of a mechanical drive of coupling (in drawing it is designated by an arrow). At installation on the car with a hydraulic drive of coupling such arm demands completion (the directing tube of a cable is necessary for cutting).
