Removal and installation of spark plugs carry out in the following order:
– for removal of spark plugs, open a cowl and remove from candles high-voltage wires. On DOHC engines for removal of high-voltage wires there is a special tool. Establish the special tool on a candle tip and pull up;

       PREVENTION
Using the compressed air, remove dirt from installation sites of candles that it after an otvorachivaniye of candles did not get to cylinders.

– turn out candles;
– check of spark plugs shows an engine condition. If the nasal part of an insulator of a spark plug pure and white, it shows that a mix too poor or "hot" spark plugs are used;
– if the tip and a nasal part of an insulator are covered with a firm black raid, it shows that a mix too rich. If black and oil, it is probable that the engine is worn-out and oil in a large number gets from a case to the combustion chamber;
– if the nasal part of an insulator is covered with an easy light brown raid, the mix is optimum, and it is probable that the engine in a good condition. Shchup to check boundaries - an electrode gap of a spark plug;
– the gap between electrodes of a spark plug is important, as at too big or too small gap the iskroobrazovaniye will be insufficiently for normal operation of the engine;
– for installation of a gap turn in an external electrode before receiving a demanded gap. Not to bend at all the central electrode as it can split an insulator;
– carefully wipe a carving part of a candle;
– a hand screw a spark plug, having excluded its distortion to a contact with a head of the block of cylinders and tighten it the demanded moment;

– high-voltage wires do not demand attention except that they are necessary for keeping clean. Remove high-voltage wires and check their resistance (fig. 6.28) ;
– at removal of a cover of the distributor, carefully wipe it and check a condition of electrodes. Check coal contact in the cover center.
