Removal and installation of a cable of an accelerator carry out in the following order:
– remove the bottom panel of furnish from the driver for access to fastening of a cable of an accelerator to a pedal;
– pushing via the rubber plug disconnect an accelerator cable from a pedal;
– open a cowl;

– previously having removed a clamp, disconnect a cable 1 (fig. 5.17) of an accelerator from a butterfly valve;
– pull a cover of a cable 3 up and disconnect it from the holder. The U-shaped bracket 2 before the holder regulates the provision of a cable and if it is necessary to remove an U-shaped bracket, measure the adjusting provision of a cable which is required for adjustment at cable installation;
– note a cable arrangement, take it through a partition, and remove from the party of a motor compartment.
Installation is carried out to sequences, return to removal. Check, that the butterfly valve opened and closed completely and moved freely and smoothly.
If adjustment of a cable of an accelerator is necessary on cars with a mechanical transmission, see off her as follows:

– 2 (see fig. 5.21 ) adjustments of a cable it is necessary to establish a bracket so that the butterfly valve was completely open at the pedal of an accelerator pressed against the stop;

– at completely released pedal of an accelerator the internal gap of a cable should not exceed 1,0 mm (fig. 5.18, 5.19) .
If adjustment of a cable of an accelerator is carried out on cars with an automatic transmission, see off her as follows:

– insert whetstone 1 (fig. 5.20) in thickness of 15 mm between a pedal 2 accelerators and the limiter 3 and fix a pedal in this situation;
– on the end of a cable of an accelerator, at a butterfly valve, remove the plug of a cable completely to open a butterfly valve, then fix it in this situation, having inserted a fixing bracket;
– release a pedal of an accelerator and remove whetstone;

– check operation of the mechanism of inclusion of a low gear (kick-down), having connected an ohmmeter to mechanism plugs (fig. 5.22) . At completely released pedal of an accelerator resistance should be equal to infinity;
– slowly press an accelerator pedal to a point of pressure of fall (only not to the limiter), thus resistance should be equal to zero.
